Lisa Shelton is an experienced behavioral health therapist, clinical supervisor, and program manager with more than 31 years of service in healthcare and human services, with 19 years in Leadership roles. She has worked across county behavioral health agencies, outpatient clinics, integrated care settings, and correctional healthcare programs, supporting interdisciplinary teams that include medical providers, mental health clinicians, peer specialists, and crisis response staff. Lisa specializes in trauma informed supervision, substance use treatment, anger management, domestic violence intervention, and co occurring disorder care. Her clinical background includes extensive work with individuals experiencing mental health challenges, substance use disorders, emotional regulation difficulties, and relational trauma. She also collaborates closely with prescribers to support safe and effective medication management. Known for her structured, goal oriented communication style, Lisa integrates CBT, MI, DBT informed strategies, relapse prevention models, and psychoeducation into her clinical and supervisory work. She is committed to improving documentation standards, strengthening workforce resilience, and promoting equitable, trauma informed organizational cultures. Lisa is currently pursuing her PsyD in Behavioral Health Leadership at Walden University, continuing her mission to support healthcare professionals and advance positive social change.
